The first service was preceded by food and fellowship; the congregation joined together in hymns, with Pastor and additional church members playing instruments such as guitar, bass, and piano before special music (from visiting Assistant Pastor Brian Green and family, in place of Pastor Danny Farley from Shady Acres Baptist Church in Houston, Texas). Following special music, Brother Kery Allen preached a great message on jumping into the mire to save those who are drowning instead of trying to help from the safety area (boat). Brother Green preached a message on bitterness--how to avoid and remove it from your Christian walk.
We heard from Brother Amani Dissi, a pastor in Tanzania, Africa, via Skype/facetime, who could not make it due to travel difficulties with the country of Tanzania.
The second night, which you can watch by clicking here, held fellowship, food, music, and Brother Chip Hull's presentation on his work with helping distraught, lost teens and kids in Boise, Idaho juvenile prisons and detention centers. Brother Hull also preached, on "Putting Your Faith On the Line." Brother Brian Green preached a great message on "Being Partially Committed."
Money was raised during the conference in support of Brother Hull's ministries. Mrs. Hull has a book for purchase titled "In My Father's Lap," which includes devotions, poems, and lovely illustrations, which you can find here.
Please pray for the church, Juniper Canyon Baptist church, as well as the ministries in Tanzania and the juvenile detention centers in Boise, Idaho.
The Targhee Baptist Church group returned home safely, and enjoyed praising and hearing from God at this meeting.
